Jordan River National Fish Hatchery: Jordan River National Fish Hatchery, located just north of Mancelona, is in nearby Elmira. The Hatchery is open seven days a week for visitors. Tour guides are available most hours. The hatchery annually propagates approximately two million yearly lake trout, and transfers up to 900,000 fingerling trout to the Pendills Creek National Fish Hatchery in Brimley, Michigan. The Hatchery is located within the spectacular and highly popular Jordan River Valley. While here, also visit Landslide Creek, Deadman’s Hill, Pinney Bridge, and take a drive though the valley.
